Kathleen McDermott is one of Scotland's leading young actresses.
She has already won a number of awards including a BAFTA for her role as Lana in Morvern Caller. Perhaps her most notable part to date is that of Shaz in Irvine Welsh's Channel 4 drama 'Wedding Belles'.
Kathleen has also appeared in Taggart and, alongside Alex Ferns in Casualty. Her versatility is demonstrated not only in the range of parts she plays but, also by the fact she is an accomplished singer and much sought after model.
Kathleen was born in Glasgow and continues to live in the city she loves. she is engaged to Martin and they will marry in the Summer 2008. She is accomplished in martial arts and snowboarding
